98 %

of people believe they have no talent for languages.

The truth: 100 % have it.

Every human being has learned their mother tongue. So the talent is there. The mistake comes later: we try to learn a foreign language with a completely different technique than back then — and wonder why it doesn't work.

It doesn't fail on talent. It fails on the missing way to memorise words, phrases and grammar — and to recall them at the decisive moment. That is exactly where Mindpop starts: with a memory technique that memory champions have used for decades and that was never taught at school. No magic trick. A technique.

How a memory picture works.

A foreign word sounds like something familiar. That becomes a picture — the more absurd, the better. Your brain links sound, picture and meaning, and the word sticks. The examples below are built for German speakers; the principle works in any language.

potato
Three cheerful cartoon potatoes on a meadow, one showing a heart tattoo on its bum.

“Die Kartoffel (potato) hat ein Po-Tattoo.” — The potato has a bum tattoo.

German “Po” (bum) + “Tattoo” = potato

Kartoffel
gift
A gift box with a red bow containing a green poison bottle with a skull.

“Gift als Geschenk (gift).” — Poison as a present.

German “Gift” means poison = gift

Geschenk
ambush
A robber lurks behind a bush and grabs a woman's red handbag.

“Der Überfall (ambush) am Busch.” — The ambush at the bush.

German “am” + “Busch” (at the bush) = ambush

Überfall
la plancha
A laughing cartoon clothes iron splashes in a colourful paddling pool on a lawn.

“Ein Bügeleisen (plancha) am Planschen.” — An iron splashing about.

German “planschen” (to splash) = plancha

Bügeleisen
el camarero
A moustached waiter serves a photo camera on a tray.

“Der Kellner (camarero) bringt eine Kamera.” — The waiter brings a camera.

German “Kamera” (camera) = camarero

Kellner
amore
A woman tenderly kisses a laughing man on the ear.

“Liebe (amore) am Ohr.” — Love at the ear.

German “am Ohr” (at the ear) = amore

Liebe

Take the 60-second test now

The 60-second test.

You will be able to memorise 20 words in five minutes. That is not a claim, it is a promise — and here you can check it right away, in miniature.

Even if you make two or three mistakes and keep only 15 of 20: in 50 minutes that would be 150 words. 180 per hour. That is doable. For you too.

Seven memory pictures. Seven questions. One clock.

Look at seven words as memory pictures, then we quiz you. We stop the clock and extrapolate how many words that would be per hour. The pictures are built for German speakers — you'll be learning the German words. Start whenever you're ready.

“With this vocabulary app you will reliably retain 20 words in just 5 minutes.”
